Chris Evans and Alba Baptista shared big news as they officially became parents for the first time. The Marvel star and Borderline actress confirmed the arrival of their daughter and revealed her name, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the couple following their wedding in 2023.

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista have welcomed their first child.
The 44-year-old Marvel actor and the 28-year-old Borderline star welcomed their daughter, Alma Grace Baptista Evans, on Friday, October 24, in Massachusetts. A source confirmed to People that the couple is “enjoying their privacy and these special first days as a family with their baby.”
Evans and Baptista were first linked in January 2022, and later that year, a source confirmed to People that they had been dating for “over a year.” The couple married in a private ceremony at their Cape Cod estate in September 2023. Evans previously told People that he wants “a wife, kids, and a family,” and explained that the relationships people form are what matter most to him.
TMZ reported that Alma Grace was born on October 24th at 1:27 p.m., and her full name includes both her parents’ surnames. Baptista’s father, Luiz, hinted at the pregnancy in a Father’s Day post in June, thanking Evans and writing, “Your turn is coming!”
The couple, who met in Europe, have kept their relationship largely out of the public eye. Evans listed his Hollywood Hills home for $7 million earlier this year, reportedly to be closer to his family in the Northeast.
Speaking to Access Hollywood at the premiere of his film Red One in November 2024, Evans was asked if he hopes to become a “superhero dad” like his co-star Dwayne Johnson’s character. “Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, absolutely,” he said. “The title of father is an exciting thing.”
