Game notes
Matinée hockey! The Bruins will player their second Atlantic Division game in as many outings, hosting Tampa at TD Garden today just two days after beating Buffalo at home as well.
It’s silly to draw conclusions after three games, but if you looked at the schedule in September and were told one of these teams would be winless and one would be undefeated, you could be excused for getting things backwards.
It hasn’t been a good start for Tampa, as the Bolts have not only lost their first two games, but have given up a whopping 10 goals between the two. They scored seven of their own, sure — but giving up five goals a game doesn’t sound like the stingy Lightning we’ve come to expect in recent years.
