Former Steeler JuJu Smith-Schuster incites huge fight at end of Chiefs vs Lions
At the end of the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions game on Sunday night, former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster got into a nasty altercation with Lions defensive back Brian Branch. Branch and Smith-Schuster were jawing at each other after the Chiefs took a knee to end the game, and Branch threw and landed a punch on Smith-Schuster, which brought the crowd.
But make no mistake, Smith-Schuster wasn’t innocent in this. Few players talk the level of trash Smith-Schuster does. However, in this case, Smith-Schuster’s blindside block of Branch earlier in the game is the move that started this; Branch just decided to finish it.
Smith-Schuster spent his first five seasons with the Steelers, and while he was a fan favorite and excellent player, he walked a fine line between being physical and being over that line in terms of his play. Smith-Schuster is in his ninth NFL season and has 467 career receptions.
