Suns Forward Dillon Brooks Eviscerates Referees After Technical Foul Call United States Sports

The Phoenix Suns have been playing excellent basketball this season. Right now, they sit seventh in the Western Conference standings. They looked poised to make the playoffs, which is better than they were able to accomplish last season.

Dillon Brooks has been a key addition for the Suns. His defense has really helped Phoenix change its identity. The Suns have the 10th-best defense in the league, largely thanks to their perimeter defense. While his offensive game isn’t strong, it’s been the best it has been in the last few years.

Brooks has had issues with getting technical fouls this season. During a game against the Thunder, Brooks was issued another technical foul. It was his 16th, which means he will be suspended. He was not happy with that and made sure the media knew that.

“The ref said I play the victim, so I’m not talking no more about that. Said I’m playing the victim all of the time, and when I don’t play victim, I’m a bad guy…if you’re going to be consistently bad, be consistently bad throughout the whole game.”

Brooks is clearly frustrated with how he has been officiated throughout this season. He likely won’t have this technical foul rescinded, meaning he will be suspended for the team’s next game. He will be suspended for every game that he receives an additional technical foul, as well.

Over the years, Brooks has certainly straddled the line. He is an agitator, and it seems that the referees are tired of him doing that. They have decided not to allow him to get away with what he has over the last few years.
